NO EXPECTATION IS OBSOLETE !

 

Training a dog could not have been possible if we did not had treats. An employee will not work enough if left with no appraisal for a long time. A student forces himself to do the extra home work expecting an extra marks for an extra assignment he does. 

There is famous saying, "कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि।।", meaning कर्म पर ही तुम्हारा अधिकार है, कर्म के फलों में कभी नहीं,इसलिए कर्म को फल के लिए मत करो। but, the sad part is that we fail to witness it practically. Giving and expecting nothing is now obsolete. We no longer witness it today. 

The other day someone offered food to a dog expecting the god to bless him for feeding the poor thing. But next day I found the same person crimping over the neighbor's pet. Same person but different act. This time did he expect that god is still seeing and if he was supposed to bless him then also be blown up to punish for the latter act. Expectations now depends on our wish. If we wish goodness we totally expect goodness only for ourselves. There is no realization of what we should actually do and what can be avoided. Studying and preparing for school activities is the actually duty (karma) of the child, but its we as teachers, siblings, parents or guide who have taught them somewhere non-verbally or maybe verbally even in the name of getting extra marks for whatever extra he does. We have actually forgotten the actually karma of every individual. Animals should be fed otherwise even to maintain healthy relations with ecology and biome for healthy living and not merely for expecting blessings in the name of feeding a single black dog roaming on the streets. 

No expectations prevailed earlier on the border of our wish. If a person wish to do some thing expectations end and no expectation continues to survive.  We are always in dilemma between performing an action and thinking about extracting a benefit out of it. So make your mind clear that when during the end of the day I will sit and talk to myself of what deeds did I perform then I will only smile because, 

I DID WHAT WAS HUMANE AND  NOT MERELY THAT WHICH WAS EXPECTED OR ONLY GAVE ME SOMETHING.

Doing what I like is not necessarily doing what is right. Do right because that is necessary. Be kind to yourself, your mind, your surroundings and this mother earth with many children from different diversified classification of organisms.
